Why Intercultural Communication training? Working in an intercultural environment is both a rewarding and challenging experience. Intercultural teams can bring new perspectives and opportunities to global companies and studies suggest that they are more efficient than homogeneous teams in the long run. However, global companies wishing to harness the full potential of their international teams need to ensure that individuals have the right intercultural communication skills.
Culture shapes every aspect of how we communicate. Different verbal and non-verbal communication styles from one culture to another can result in possible intercultural misunderstandings and conflict. The first step towards ensuring effective intercultural communication is to help members of intercultural teams understand the link between their core cultural values and their intercultural communication style. Individuals working across cultures also need to adapt to their foreign counterparts’ cultural attitudes and preferences to enable a productive and effective cooperation.
Designed in close collaboration with you and your company, our Intercultural Communication training courses will equip employees operating in an intercultural context with the necessary intercultural framework and skills that will help them to reduce misunderstandings and work effectively across cultures.
