Legal English for Legal Secretaries

Communicaid is the world's leading provider of legal English training to law firms, corporate, public and international institutions. With centres in London, Paris, Frankfurt and New York combined with our global Legal English trainer network, our legal English courses, developed over many years in close collaboration with our clients, have assisted lawyers, paralegals and legal secretaries to communicate precisely, efficiently and accurately in legal English.

In a field as precise as law, it is not enough to know the dictionary definition of a term or how to write a clause in a contract. Meaning and use in context are crucial, and only an experienced lawyer can convey this with sufficient depth and accuracy. The consequences of inaccuracy in law can be extreme!

With this in mind, we only employ dual-qualified legal English trainers - lawyers as well as qualified English language trainers. Our team of legal English trainers includes lawyers from such reputable law firms as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Norton Rose and Linklaters, as well as law lecturers from the legal departments of the University of Warwick, Nottingham and University College London.

What does this mean for you?

This means that legal language can be taught at the very highest levels of definition. Each year, Communicaid trains in excess of 500 lawyers from all over the world. Legal English courses available include English for Lawyers, Drafting Contracts in English, and English for Legal Secretaries.

In addition to the above legal English courses, we also design programmes focusing on specific skill areas such as negotiating, advising and advocacy. Over the years we have delivered courses in areas as diverse as: Corporate Finance, Intellectual Property, Construction Law and Food and Drugs Administration.

All of our legal English courses can take place at a location of your choice worldwide. Recent programmes have been delivered in Milan, Madrid, Frankfurt, Oslo, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. Our clients include Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Baker & McKenzie, Clifford Chance, White & Case and Lovells as well as in-house counsel of Coca-Cola, Shell, ENI (Agip) and BP.

Our Legal English Courses – Recognised Worldwide

Communicaid Legal English training courses are recognised and promoted by Bar and Law Associations worldwide including the Law Society of England and Wales and the Bar Associations of Holland, Norway, Iceland, Estonia and Slovakia.
