Dave Rewell, Cable&Wireless

“Training was very informative and well worth attending.”

Why Cross Cultural Training Middle East?  A vast and diverse region, the Middle East is both an attractive destination for businesses and a complex mosaic of countries, people and cultures.  Doing business in the Middle East can therefore be profitable but challenging for western organisations unaware of the cultural values that influence business interactions and practices in the region.  A Cross Cultural Awareness Training programme by Communicaid is designed to address these needs.

Misunderstandings and miscommunication can often occur when doing business in the Middle East without anyone realising since many cross cultural differences are so implicit and sometimes invisible to those who do not have a high level of cross cultural awareness.  Understanding the impact of cultural assumptions, values and perceptions on individual and group behaviour in the Middle East is essential for anyone doing business there.  Nowhere can a lack of cross cultural understanding be more detrimental than in an international workplace, where misunderstandings based on culture can make or break lucrative business deals, international mergers and any other type of cross cultural endeavour.

In the case of the Middle East, a crucial factor to take into account is the influence of Islam on all aspects of Middle Eastern society and business.  The importance of hierarchy and family connections, coupled with the fact that status is such a driving factor in business relations, are also essential elements of Middle Eastern culture that must be understood for successful relations with Middle Eastern colleagues.

Communicaid’s Cross Cultural Training Middle East highlights how cultural values such as the values of Islam, hierarchy and status, influence business interactions with Middle Eastern counterparts.  Cross Cultural Training Middle East programmes can help international organisations doing business in the Middle East harness cross cultural differences and turn them into a source of competitive advantage.

Cross Cultural Training Middle East courses will raise your cultural awareness and enable you to communicate and work effectively with Middle Eastern colleagues.  Designed in close collaboration with you and your organisation, Communicaid’s Cross Cultural Training Middle East courses will provide you with the required skills and knowledge to develop your cross cultural awareness and enable you to work more effectively with Middle Eastern counterparts.
