"Practical examples made it real for me, giving me key areas to focus in on to maximise success and minimise impact due to cultural dilemmas. Awesome!"

Why Doing Business in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)? Oil rich and situated at a crucial transit point for crude oil export in the Persian Gulf , the UAE is a popular choice for foreign investment and business interest. The UAE has recently put considerable effort into economic diversification, focusing on the financial and banking industries as well as increasing tourism. This, combined with its relatively open attitude towards western economic and cultural influences, makes the UAE a highly attractive location to a large number of cosmopolitan and international visitors. Although western business culture has been embraced in the professional environment, the social and business cultures and expectations in the UAE may surprise and alienate an unprepared traveller. When planning a trip to the UAE, it is critical to familiarise yourself with the country's professional customs, culture and social expectations. Developing effective and appropriate communication is a key factor in the development of successful and productive business strategies and working relationships in the UAE.

Communicaid's Doing Business in the UAE courses provide you with the cultural awareness tools necessary to avoid causing unintentional offence or misunderstanding.
