Culture for the Public Sector

Why Culture for the Public Sector? Recent years have seen public sector organisations embrace cross-cultural and cultural diversity training as a means of building bridges between communities and groups.

In the 21st century, countries such as the United Kingdom, are made up of a myriad of ethnic groups, races and religions which present numerous challenges to the public sector organisations that service them. With legislation in place and growing societal awareness of the important role that culture and diversity plays in 21st Century United Kingdom, public sector organisations and their employees are required to understand, respect and treat with cultural sensitivity their citizens and visitors from other cultures, nations, religions and ethnic groups.

In response to this, Communicaid has developed a number of cross-cultural and cultural diversity training courses to meet these needs. We have built up an enviable knowledge and insight of working with public sector organisations as diverse as the Department for International Development (DFID), Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and the Department for Health.
