Living and Working in Jordan

International Assignments Team Cadbury Schweppes

“We have only ever received positive feed back from assignees who have attended the sessions and all have said it made their transition easier."

Why Living and Working in Jordan? Situated on the overlapping territories known as the Fertile Crescent, the ‘cradle of civilisation’ and the Holy Land at the crossroads of Christianity, Islam and Judaism, Jordan hosts an ethnically and religiously diverse population.  Jordanians are known for their cultural appreciation and tolerance, and their Arab hospitality and warmth are recognisable traits.  Jordan’s world famous sites such as Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and many natural reserves have helped make tourism one of the main drivers of economic growth. Since 2007, the King of Jordan has committed himself to improving Jordan’s living standards by developing the healthcare, housing, and education sectors.

Jordan’s current economic and political position as well as its unique business and social culture can make living and working in Jordan a challenging, but exciting experience. Failure to adapt to the Jordanian way of life and its unique set of cultural rules and behaviours can cause frustration, misunderstandings and an unsuccessful international assignment in Jordan.  Communicaid’s Living & Working in Jordan courses are designed to provide an understanding of the various aspects of living and working in Jordan as well as practical information to make your international assignment more enjoyable.
