Home to vast oil reserves, expansive desert and a number of large coastal cities such as Tripoli, Libya is one of the wealthiest countries in Africa. Heavily influenced by an extensive Roman history, semi-nomadic tribes and Islamic beliefs, Libyan culture is a unique blend of tradition and modern society. Having recently made efforts to open its borders to the rest of the world, Libya offers an increasing number of new business and investment opportunities.
