Living and Working in Canada

Paul & Dorit Tepperman, Cadbury Schweppes

"I enjoyed gaining an insight into the psychology of a cross-cultural move and the subtle (unexpected) differences between the British and North American culture."

Canada is the world’s second largest country and is characterised by an extraordinary variety of landscapes, climates and a diverse multicultural population. As an affluent, high-tech industrial society, with a highly skilled workforce and abundant natural resources, Canada is a natural choice for foreign investment.  Assignees posted to Canada will enjoy the benefits and challenges of living and working in Canada.  However, they may still find the experience frustrating and stressful if they do not have a thorough grounding in the cultural rules and values prevalent when living and working in Canada.

Communicaid’s Living & Working in Canada courses are designed to respond to the needs of international assignees by providing practical information and advice on the various aspects of living and working in Canada, as well as conveying an understanding of the underlying elements that shape Canadaian culture inside and outside the workplace.
