Living and Working in Singapore

Margaret Wong, Financial Accountant, Cadbury Schweppes

"Communicaid have proven themselves to be highly informative and professional.  My trainer was excellent trainer – with interesting insights, real-life experience and was happy to bounce ideas/discuss my observations of both the country I am seconding to, and on more general cultural differences observations."

Situated in the heart of the Asia-Pacific region, the tiny island of Singapore is one of the most densely populated countries in the world with a varied linguistic, cultural, and religious heritage. Singapore has highly developed and successful free market economy, enjoys a remarkably open and corruption-free environment, stable prices, and a high per capita GDP making it an extremely attractive location for international corporations.

Singapore continues to lure global talent and top management and has an extremely high number of expatriates living there.  While an international assignment will be an exciting and challenging experience, it is essential to have a thorough understanding of the cultural implications of living and working in Singapore to avoid potential frustration and misunderstanding.

Communicaid’s Living & Working in Singapore courses are designed to respond to the needs of international assignees by providing practical information and advice on the various aspects of living and working in Singapore, as well as conveying an understanding of the underlying elements that shape Singapore culture inside and outside the workplace.
