Living and Working in Tunisia

Jayne Dunsbee, Communication Specialist, Pfizer (UK)

“Learning more about the geography, culture and behaviours through the real-life experiences of the presenter brought the “theory” to life for me.”

Why Living and Working in Tunisia? Tunisia is a nation that celebrates the fusion of modernity and ancient history.  Also referred to as the country of colours, Tunisia is home to spectacular landscapes including the Mediterranean coast in the north and east and the Saharan desert.  Islamic tradition and religion play a significant role in Tunisian culture.   While the Arabic culture is the most influential in Tunisian society, aspects of French culture can also be found in Tunisian business and everyday life.  Failure to adapt to the Tunisian way of life and its unique set of cultural rules and behaviours can cause frustration, misunderstandings and an unsuccessful international assignment in Tunisia.

Communicaid’s Living and Working in Tunisia courses are designed to respond to the needs of international assignees by providing practical information and advice on the various aspects of living and working in Tunisia.  Completing a Living and Working in Tunisia course will provide you with a thorough understanding of Tunisian culture as well as living and working standards in order to work successfully in Tunisia and to avoid cultural faux-pas.
