Karen Mackenzie, General Manager Quality, Cadbury Schweppes

"Practical examples made it real for me, giving me key areas to focus in on to maximise success and minimise impact due to cultural dilemmas. Awesome!"

A country of remarkable beauty and varying regional characteristics, Italy is unmistakably a place of cultural achievement and historical pride. Strong industrial and agricultural industries, a well-established manufacturing sector and Italy’s involvement in the EU as a founding member make Italy’s diversified economy an increasingly attractive choice for foreign investment. Living and working in Italy is an exciting but challenging prospect as it requires an understanding of a completely new set of rules and behaviours which permeate every aspect of Italian society. Without this understanding, an international assignment in Italy may result in frustrations, misunderstandings and unsuccessful business endeavours.

Communicaid’s Living & Working in Italy courses are designed to respond to the needs of international assignees by providing practical information and advice on the various aspects of living and working in Italy, as well as conveying an understanding of the underlying elements that shape Italian culture inside and outside the workplace.
