Why Building International Teams? The last decade has seen the rise of international teams spanning countries and continents. Made up of professionals of many nationalities and backgrounds, these teams face unique challenges. In addition to obvious logistical obstacles, such as different time zones and geographical distance, all international team members bring their own attitudes, perceptions and beliefs to the team. These differences can cause major clashes, since issues such as leadership, management and consultation styles, decision-making and trust have potentially very different meanings in the different cultures represented within each international team.
In response to the growing needs of organisations and their international teams, Communicaid has developed Building International Teams. This course aims to assist managers, HR professionals and team members to develop the intercultural competence and communication skills required when building international teams. Upon completion of a Communicaid Building International Teams course, you will understand the key issues and motivators that drive international teams and gain the skills and tools to successful build, manage and work in an international team.
