LC has nearly thirty years of human resources and training experience with blue chip companies in the financial services, publishing, airline and engineering industries and has substantial international experience including five years spent living and working in Singapore.
LC’s first HR management position was with Scandanavian Airlines Group where she was responsible for setting up the HR/training function for SAS Service Partner. She then spent several years with Timex Corporation before joining McGraw Hill Europe in 1998. Here she was responsible for the HR function to over 16 European group companies and set up and implemented performance management programmes in addition to running training in recruitment, employment law and equal opportunities.
In1998 LC relocated to Singapore as Human Resources Director for McGraw Hill Asia Pacific and spent five years establishing the HR function for eleven growing businesses with 1100 professional staff in Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malayasia, Indonesia, Australia and India. Her work involved spending time in all of these countries hiring and managing staff, negotiating with external vendors and delivering training.
LC now works as a consultant providing HR training and advice, presentation skills and project management training and cross cultural management programmes. |
