Paul Tepperman, Director Global Sales Strategy, Cadbury SchweppesCommunicaid’s Living & Working in Spain courses are designed to respond to the needs of international assignees moving to Spain by providing practical information and advice on the various aspects of living and working in Spain, as well as conveying an understanding of the underlying elements that shape Spanish culture inside and outside the workplace.
Europe’s third largest country, Spain has a highly developed and stable democracy. Since the death of Franco in 1975 and EU accession in 1986, Spain has experienced rapid economic growth and modernisation. The stereotypes of siestas and mañana are long gone and Spain is now an attractive choice for foreign investment.
An international assignment is an exciting but challenging prospect and you will need to adapt immediately to a new set of cultural rules including different attitudes to relationship building, time management and decision making. Failure to do so may cause misunderstanding and frustration to anyone living and working in Spain.
Ensure a successful international assignment in Spain by learning more about Spanish business and social culture.
